- LIU’s mission is to support IESE in providing innovative world-class business education globally. We work across contexts (online, blended, face-to-face, hybrid), modes (synchronous and asynchronous), and program types (degree and non-degree).
- Constantly watching new learning trends and technologies and guided by how the future of learning could look like, LIU offers advisory and development services based on its knowledge and expertise.
- LIU spearheads innovation efforts together with faculty members, staff, customers, and partners with the main ambition of having the maximum impact on participants and organizations.
- We aim to (co-)create a sophisticated and comprehensive portfolio of academically rigorous and impactful learning solutions (methods, tools, approaches, infrastructure, materials, etc.) that will benefit IESE’s global participants and stakeholders.
Job Description

- Level: Associate Director
Leadership of this whole new initiative as well as managing and coordinating all the tasks - internally and externally - that are described in more detail below. It goes from hiring the team, to aligning and collaborating with internal stakeholders, searching, selecting and onboarding external partners, continuing the market research, developing the value proposition, running selected experiments and pilots, and evaluating results among other tasks.
Main responsibilities
Leadership
- Develop a lifelong learning vision for IESE Business School considering emerging learner, technology, and market trends in Executive Education
- Select, on-board, coach and lead a team of high performers and motivated contributors to new heights
- Diligently manage the initiative's steering committee and its members to their full satisfaction and success of the initiative
- Carefully orchestrate the communication to internal and external stakeholders in alignment with internal protocols (Communications, etc.)
- Build strong networks within and outside the organization
- Manage required collaborations and resources within the organization through influence and trust
Manage Technology
- Oversee the building of the required technology stack to enable the lifelong learning vision and initiative in a user-centric, agile and value-oriented fashion
- Closely observe industry and technology trends for proof of concept and incorporation into the technology stack
- Effectively manage the collaboration with IESE's IT team for synergy and integration opportunities
- Effectively manage external providers for media production, UX design, web development, solution & data architecture and potentially others
Data
- Precisely define the lifelong learning business strategy for translation into data strategy and architecture requirements
- Closely work with the data governance team to allow effective data integrity protocols
- Work hand-in-hand with the data engineering team to help establish a sound data infrastructure and enable required use cases for the I3L-centric data-driven strategy
Initiative
- Launch a transformational initiative and drive effective organizational change in light of an accelerating industry dynamic
- Build effective working relationships with a multitude of units within IESE to connect relevant services, contents and processes to bring I3L to life, including Research/AMU/Insight, Faculty, Alumni, EIC, CDC, Publishing, Programs, Online, LIU, and others
- Prototype, solidify and implement a personalized learning experience platform, with its fundament on the institution’s top-quality resources, while adding new, indispensable capabilities, such as a competency assessment framework, etc.
Operations
- Efficiently use organizational resources and knowledge to further the goals of I3L
- Diligently manage the initiative budget and comply with internal financial reporting guidelines
- Set priorities for internal teams and external providers in line with the roadmap and overall initiative goals
- Strong business acumen to achieve set goals and identify new opportunities to generate value for the customer and/or the organization
- Create and implement processes, capabilities and systems to increase revenue opportunities, customer satisfaction and customer impact for existing business units and programs as well as for the lifelong learning initiative
Effectively deploy initiative resources and budgets to achieve milestones and key performance indicators
